CD Case Calendar 2009 free QPs

It's become a tradition of sorts for me to make my family a set of CD Case Calendars for the coming year as one of their Christmas gifts. This year I used all sorts of Saxon's beautiful kits to make my calendar and agreed to share the pages here for everyone to use too. I hope you can get some use out of them and it makes your holiday season a little less stressful. The calendar is broken up into several DLs and will be posted over several days. Don't worry if you can't make it back right away, I'll leave the links up for a while.

If you are in a shopping mood and love Saxon's creations, make sure you check out the Black Friday sale going on at SBE through Monday, December 1st. Most everything in the store is 25% off (some exclusions apply) and they have a Doorbuster category too where everything is just $1. Saxon has 19 products tucked in that category- some old favorites and some new things too. Don't miss the Enchanted Paper Pals- they are adorable :)

Check out these neat Page Pockets!

To use these Page Pockets,
simply start with the layer labeled 1.
This layer will be your background paper for your page.
Build up from there with each labeled layer.
Have fun substituting lace and ribbon for the edges
and using various papers for the pocket backgrounds!

Winter Frost Collab, Hybrid Project and Free QPs!!

Winter Frost, a NEW Collaboration Kit
by Saxon Holt & Tracey Monette

Hybrid Project

Hybrid Ornaments by CT Member Melinda Staley

Melinda says it's a very easy project!
She designed it so that her twins' dance group
can come over and help make a bunch.
They do holiday performances for adult care facilities
and like to hand something out to the residents.

She printed the colored part of the design on photo paper,
cut them out and stuck them to off-white cardstock
and then cut them out again. She punched a hole
with a hand punch, put a length of ribbon through it
and embellished the snowflakes on each with a bit of glitter glue.
For 'mass production' she recommends the use of a
circle cutter instead of hand-cutting just to make it easier for the kids.
They are about 3x3 approximately.

Tracey & Saxon's Winter Frost

WINTER FROST is an enormous kit created to inspire your
winter themed scrapbook pages or hybrid projects.
Saxon and Tracey have created 24 papers and mattes and
over 120 design elements to grace your pages.

Inspiration includes: a trio of birds - 2 felted one crumpled,
one frosty pine, and a glittery fence, multiple snowmounds
& snowflakes, and even snowballs in flight; flair, buttons,
ribbons, threads, rope & attachments, fun wordart and
frames, paper pieced fun, mattes and frayed fabric,
a string of fancy beads, acrylic galore, journaling notes,
fancy edges and borders, socks hanging out to dry
from the snow; all along with oddities and
doodads to add fun to your pages.

{We’ve even remembered your hat and your mitts for the coldest of days!}
